Time is moving on quickly re completing the Guilford Country Store Renovations. Major work competed includes: supports installed in ceiling and basement; insulation installed all around; sheetrock applied everywhere; the floor replaced and awaiting the native oak boards that have been donated; most of the main chimney removed due to structural weaknesses; drainage work and public water supply going in this week; kitchen and cafe equipment obtained ; wiring and plumbing upgraded; the public ADA level rest room prepared; and windows rebuilt and being reinstalled.

All this work has totally changed the store’s interior. It is more spacious, MUCH brighter and welcoming. Most of this work is hidden from visitors view but it has made the store safer, lighter, and more serviceable. At the same time, negotiations are nearing completion with the persons who will lease and operate the store & Cafe.
